Media

Informing the public about issues affecting people with disabilities and their families happens on a regular basis through contact with the media. SACL spokespersons represent the Association through interviews with staff, volunteers, people with intellectual disabilities and families. The Association also sponsors the Putting Life into the Community media award through the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers Association to encourage accurate and positive features about inclusive recreation and leisure activities.

Members of the media who are interested in coverage of Association issues and activities are asked to contact the Executive Director, (306) 955-3344; fax (306) 373-3070 or email [email protected]. Permission to reprint articles from the SACL magazine Dialect is granted with credit to the source. For the most current media releases issued by the Association: What's new?

For public service announcements, feel free to download and use any of the media print fillers from our collection by clicking on the thumbnail images below. Branch members are welcome to use these for their newsletters or other public awareness materials.
