Education Specialist

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) seeks an Education Consultant to support our Inclusive Education Initiative. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Initiatives the Education Specialist will plan and facilitate meetings with stakeholders across the province to identify strengths and challenges in the education system. They will prepare reports with recommendations for future strategies. In addition, they will act as a support and resource person for individuals and families. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
-  Masters Degree in Education 
-  Work experience in elementary and secondary schools. Experience in policy development would be an asset. 
-  Research experience
-  An understanding of education legislation, policies, and practices in SK
-  An awareness of the issues surrounding individuals with intellectual disabilities
-  An ability to build respectful relationships with individuals and organizations in the education field
-  Strong analytical, critical thinking and strategic planning skills
-  Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills  
-  Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills.  
-  Proficient in MS Office tools
-  Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
-  Must successfully pass a criminal record check,  vulnerable sector search
