The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) began over 59 years ago when John Dolan decided that his daughter had the right to an education. John Dolan placed an advertisement in a local Saskatoon newspaper to recruit other parents of children with intellectual disabilities who believed in the right to an education for their sons and daughters. This advertisement sparked the beginning of the SACL and our grassroots movement.
