Sponsorshipin whole or in part is often
provided by the SACL for parents, volunteers, self-advocates and staff
to attend a variety of events in the country. People have been supported
to attend events like these: the annual conference of the Canadian
Association for Community Living, the Alberta Family Conference, the
Canadian Down Syndrome Society Conference, Gentle Teaching, the Early
Childhood Conference, Prairie Northern Conference on Fetal Alcohol
Syndrome, Creating an Inclusive School, National People First Conference,
Addressing Disability Issues, and other worthwhile opportunities.
